I count two beats left <br />
|
|
Two crunched heartbeats before I'm gone
|
|
</p>
|
|
<p class="c">They begin:</p>
|
|
<br />
|
|
<p>
|
|
<span class="c">clench -</span>
|
|
Lay from my angle the setting star washed the sky red <br />
|
|
I take one fourth of my immense time to immerse in it <br />
|
|
<span class="c">- untense</span>
|
|
</p>
|
|
<br />
|
|
<p class="c">The edges of the world seem to collapse slightly</p>
|
|
<br />
|
|
<p>
|
|
<span class="c">clench -</span>
|
|
Unacceptable to say - the colour washed my blood ultra-crimson. Somehow
|
|
redder than red -
|
|

|
|
>My eyes must be what are losing themselves now <br />
|
|
First was my legs - folded into the dunes, the feeling of burning
|
|
grains lost on their skin.</span
|
|
>
|
|

|
|
</p>
|
|
<br />
|
|
<p>
|
|
Long gone are my nerves <br />
|
|
 Now the neurons blink out like dying stars
|
|
</p>
|
|
<p class="c">Like our lovely sun</p>
